Faculty Achievements

Dr. Vibha S Chauhan, Associate Professor, Department of English, Zakir Husain Delhi College has been appointed as the Principal of Kirori Mal College, a constituent college of the University of Delhi, located in the North Campus of DU.

Dr. Anuradha Marwah has been awarded the Fulbright Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence (FNAPE) Fellowship. Her project is entitled 'Activizing Literature' and is geared to developing a radical politics of telling and retelling stories. It involves collaborative teaching of two courses entitled 'Ways of Knowing' and 'Stories, Bodies, Border-Crossings' with a Professor from the Department of Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies in the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis during the Fall (September to December), 2017. She would be drawing on her experience of writing novels and plays and of teaching 'Creative Writing' and 'Performance' in the University of Delhi and in community settings.

Dr. Namrata Chaturvedi has been awarded the ICI (India China Indonesia) Faculty Development Fellowship 2017-19 funded by the Hong Kong Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences, Indonesia Consortium for Religious Studies and Asian Centre for Cross Cultural Studies, India.

Dr. Anuradha Marwah’s Ismat’s Love Stories shortlisted for the prestigious The Hindu Playwright Award 2016

"Three plays have been shortlisted for The Hindu Playwright Award 2016, which carries a prize of Rs. 2 lakh for the best unpublished and unperformed playscript in English. The three shortlisted plays are Anuradha Marwah’s Ismat’s Love Stories, Meera Sitaraman’s The Cut and Thomas Manuel’s Hamlet and Angad. The plays were selected from 230 entries received from all over the country."
